Where Are Yesterday's New York Lottery Winners?

If you don't see a New York Lottery winner, does he exist?

I have often wondered about all the lottery winners you hear about. Where do they exactly live? It almost seems as if they disappear from the face of the planet once they receive their checks from the New York State Lottery. Perhaps countries like Aruba, Jamaica, and the Bahamas gain a new citizen everytime a lucky New Yorker strikes it rich with the lottery. I sure hope that these lottery winners aren't heard from for other more notorious reasons. Maybe they become so paranoid that they simply disappear from the public eye behind the immense walls of their Hampton mansions, or maybe they just quickly squander their money leaving them as they were prior to purchasing that lucky Powerball ticket?

While some would argue that winning the lottery, and then spending all your money quickly seems fruitless, I wouldn't mind the opportunity to spend away a few million dollars.
